Goals

What would this sound like at 11?
What would this sound like at 11?

Mark: I plan to create fluid-like intro and outro sequences to my new 3-minute animated work, create a method to visualize 3D tensor fields using particles, and figure out how to make virtual objects glow with blackbody-equivalent intensity and color. I will code and drink, and not necessarily in that order. (Dammit, two out of five. Better luck next year.)

Eric: Finish the current project and create some more samples. Accomplished!

Rachel: My goals are to use all of the crap that I brought, to justify the cost of hauling out here in the Subie. I am kidding, but only just. I intend draw something cool, photograph something cool, make some cool jewelry, and learn a new violin piece.

Nicole: I also hope to use everything I brought at least once and with moderate success. I brought paints, pastels, a sketchbook, all the cool cameras, and the guitar.

Chris: I hope to think clearly.

Everyone else: wants to do even more incredibly cool stuff.

Travel

Mark and El: We got up at 7:30 and on the road at 8:30 (after a breakfast of 4 hash browns and a coffee), the drive took 4.5 hours and we arrived at 1 PM.

Em and Eric: We got up at 7am, and left the house after 10am toddler time finished. 6.5 hours or so on the road discounting lunch. Lots of small towns in PA and NY. Neat.

Rachel and Markus: We got up at 7... something... modulo a return trip for a forgotten phone, we got on the road by 9 and arrived in Bovina Center and ultimately the farm by 8:27pm. It was a 9.5hr drive. We made it. 'Nuff said.

Nicole: Hit the road around 9:45am, drove through some amazing countryside, saw farms, cows, rivers, cute towns, and arrived in 4 hrs flat. A gorgeous drive.

Chris: Google maps led me astray.

This was a 100+ year old, 6-bedroom farmhouse near the Catskills in New York. It had 200 acres of land surrounding it and a decrepit barn nearby. The barn was scary. We chose this place because it was available at the last minute (May) and was big enough to handle all of us. Other pluses were that it had lots of land and internet access. Minuses included the lack of a hot tub and garbage disposal.
